Apple Is Rolling Out Vision OS 1.1 with Improved Personas

Apple released Vision OS 1.1 on Thursday, with the most notable feature being improved user personas. In particular, the new update improves the appearance of hair and makeup, the appearance of the neck and mouth, and the rendering of the eyes for eyesight, so that others can see your eyes when wearing the headset.

In addition, users can now also set up their personas without holding the device via Settings> Persona and selecting the “Hands-free recording” mode after the first setup steps.

The new version of Vision OS also introduces Mobile Device Management (MDM), which allows companies to manage their devices. This allows administrators to set up devices for custom configuration, install apps on a large scale, and perform remote control of the device.

The company announced support for enterprise Device Management last month.

“We know that companies want to manage these devices on a large scale to take advantage of all the power of the Apple Vision Pro. The good news is also that we can provide a lot of great technologies for Vision Pro in this regard,” Jeremy Butcher, Worldwide Product Marketing for companies at Apple, told TechCrunch at the time.

There are many other small improvements in Vision OS 1.1 for users:

Users can now delete system apps from the Home view
Improvements in recognition and connection to a Mac with Mac Virtual Display
Improvements to the virtual keyboard with better accuracy in text input
Updated controls for subtitles when viewing Apple Immersive Video
Over time, developers have added more apps for Vison OS, and the platform now has more than 1,000 native apps on the App Store.
